OECD Says Germany Needs Electricians, Plumbers to Bolster Growth
Germany needs to do more to attract qualified professionals from abroad to remain competitive and avoid a drag on economic growth, the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development said in a report.While Chancellor Angela Merkel’s government has taken steps to ease immigration rules for highly qualified professionals, Germany needs to open up the labor market to workers without a university education, the OECD said. Nurses, electricians, train engineers and plumbers are among the professions in short supply, Labor Minister Ursula von der Leyen said in Berlin.

A Joint OECD /G20 GPFI Special Event on SME Finance
Yves Leterme zit vergadering voor om de toegang tot investeringskapitaal voor zelfstandige ondernemers en KMO’s te verbeteren.
Op donderdag 19 april op de OESO in Parijs zat Yves Leterme een internationale ontmoeting voor. Er werden maatregelen besproken om de toegang tot investeringskapitaal voor zelfstandige ondernemers en KMO’s te verbeteren. Uit cijfers blijkt dat de zogenaamde kredietschaarste vooral kleinere bedrijven treft en date en verbetering van hun investeringsmogelijkheden de economische herleving veel beter kan verzekeren.
Eerste minister Yves Leterme bevestigt dat roerende voorheffing op huidige uitgifte staatsbons behouden blijft op 15%

Eerste minister Yves Leterme is uiterst tevreden over het enorme succes van de lopende uitgifte van de staatsbons. Op twee dagen tijd is er al 600 miljoen euro opgehaald. De uitgifteperiode loopt nog tot en met vrijdag 2 december, dus de opbrengst zal nog verder oplopen. Vooral de staatsbon op 5 jaar met een bruto rendement van 4% is een enorm succes.
